Another perfect day!

Friday:
As the sky at night, the ocean had many stars...our residents sperm whales!
During the morning trip, we saw diferents kinds of species, manely sperm whales and dolphins.
In the afternoon, the sun moved away almost every cloud of the sky, and made the nature unclasp. It was a wonderful opportunity to see a larger sperm whales group socializing and resting near ours boats...leaving us, observe their nature behavior!

Saturday:
Today, in comparation with yesterday it was very cloudy day and the sun it was very shy...only the common dolphins appeared during the morning trip! In the afternoon we canceled the trip, because it is too windy and foggy outhere.

SEI WHALES AGAIN!

We saw the sei whales again, but only in the morning trip....everyone saw good enough the body of three sei whales...it was a really good trip.
In the afternoon we don´t have luck! The two watchers saw the sei whales, but we (in the boat) didn´t get the whales to show to our clients...SOMETIMES APPENS, IT IS THE NATURE AND THE WILD, every trip it is a really different trip!
About the dolphins...we get the bottlenose and the common dolphins during the morning and only the common dolphins during the afternoon trip.

Foggy day...no whales

Yesterday a cool front was moving over the island of the Azores. So, we get a foggy day and, of course, more difficult for the look-out watchers discover something on the sea. But we get for our surprise a huge group of common dolphins with a lot of babies. In the last three days they were gone to prepare the show of yesterday. We stay with them in the morning and evening trip. The dolphins was very simpatico following the boat, stay around with curiosity. The day was better than we expected.
Let´s wait for the surprises from today.

Sei whale it appears and show all body

Finally, we did not saw only the Sei Whale blow far away...but also close to us! The shy whale approach to the boat with no fear and show all the body more than once... just AMAZING!!!
As the other days, we continued with the Bottlenose Dolphins and the Sperm Whales.
We had a very nice weekend and a wonderful week begining...almost summer time!

Lovely whales and dolphins

In the last two days we get a nice weather. Sun, calm waters and a fantastic visibility. Ideal conditions for whale watching. And they visit us again. Yesterday and today. The same family: a group of females and babies travelling slowly on the South coast of the island. Today we spotted then just outside Ponta Delgada at 5 / 6 miles from the shore. We stay with 4 or 6 whales...And after was time to try the dolphins. Today we found a huge group of bottlenose. They bring the smile to our clients with jumps or just following the boats.
The last two days was fantastic!!!
