A summers day with many dolphins

Today started off a little grey with some high cloud, but by the afternoon the sun was back out to remind us that summer is here. During the day we also had some typical summer sightings of large groups of dolphins with many young calves and juveniles. On both our morning and afternoon tours we sighted three dolphin species: Atlantic spotted dolphins, common dolphins and Risso's dolphins. Risso's dolphins hadn't been sighted here for a while, so that was a nice surprise for us, and they were also suprisingly social and even approached our boats and jumped a few times. As usuall both the common dolphins and spotted dolphins were very curious and the younger dolphins were always putting on a show with their frequent jumps.
