Fin whales to kick start July

This morning we were in for a surprise as we had two fin whales just outside of our base in Ponta Delgada. We were not expecting to see fin whales so late in the year, as most individuals migrate past here from March until early June. Everybody got to see the fin whales very well and our tour was completed by additional encounters with bottlenose dolphins (very close to shore) and common dolphins.
