Sperm whales, three species of dolphins and a blue marlin

Today we went to the sea both in the morning and afternoon. The weather was slightly windy, but the sea only had small waves. The first sighting was a big group of common dolphins, very playful in front of the boat, bowriding and jumping. In a few minutes we started to travel to another area where our vigia (onshore lookout) had seen a sperm whale. We waited a little bit to a see the sperm whale but in the end it was worth it, because we saw 5 sperm whales!
During the afternoon we had 2 boats at sea for whale watching. Again the trip started with dolphins, this time the bottlenose dolphin, a calm pod with calves. Then we saw a big group of common dolphin that delighted everyone with high jumps and bowriding. We enjoyed the common dolphins for a while and then we started to travel to another area to try to see another species or group, in the meantime we spotted a blue marlin (Makarai nigracans). Later on we saw Atlantic spotted dolphins and final a very curious sperm whale, rolling around in the water, spyhopping and diving. Another wonderful day here in the Azores. Photos from today:
