This morning we set out on our catamaran on a grey and drizzly morning. However a group of bottlenose dolphins brightened up our morning. It started with about 5 dolphins, but slowly more dolphins were joining the group so we ended up watching a group of about 40 bottlenose dolphins. It turned to be a group that is very familiar to us, as we could recognise some of the dorsal fins from many encounters over this past summer. We got to see some babies in the group and also some baby making behaviour. The courtship behaviour meant that we got to see some impressive high jumps and a lot of physical activity. All the while we had the nice backdrop of the morning winter light which gave off a nice soft glow on the horizon.
