We still have sei whales migrating past São Miguel Island, perhaps some of the last individuals of the spring time migration of the great baleen whales. Today in both the morning and afternoon we encountered 4 of these sei whales travelling together, going along a straight path so that we could easily track them and predict their surfacings from their trail of footprints. We spent some time with these great whales, then we continued our tour to observe some bottlenose dolphins and common dolphins. In the group of common dolphins we had some new born babies that were playing around and looking up at our clients. Maybe you were the first human they had seen?
