Blue whales reencounter in Pico Island
Today in Pico we left the harbor and after only 10 minutes we were seeing sperm whales! We continued our trip a bit further from the coastline and we ended up with fin whales that were super curious with our boat, and after that, the common dolphins presented us with their company on a calm blue ocean. We for to see the same blue whales spotted in the first sighting this year. It was a mother and a calve blue whale. On our way back to Lajes do Pico harbor Risso's dolphins appeared to wish all of us a good Sunday!
